About Me

Meet Me:

 I was born and raised in Baton Rouge. From high school, I did the unthinkable and headed to a rival college in Oxford, MS.  (Although glancing at Ole Miss’ stats these past few years, the term rival may be a stretch).  I believe the “unthinkable” relates more to packing up my whole life and moving to a foreign city with no friends, no family, and no idea what being independent meant. However, I left Oxford with some of the greatest friends anyone could have- and an experience I wouldn’t change for the world.

Now I am back in my safe zone, reunited with my best high school friends, my semi-dysfunctional family, and my new dog, Fritz.

Why start blogging?

Good question! English was not my best subject. Punctuation errors and grammar corrections made my essays and book reports look like crime scenes. On paper I am a math nerd. I’m good at calculating numbers, figuring out the solution, having a right or wrong answer- (an Algebra, Calculus, PEMDAS** machine, if you will). BUT in my head, I am a Carrie Bradshaw writing, best selling author, opinionated fool. 

So here is where I escape the left side of my brain and explore the right; a place to share my love for dogs, evaluate my fashion sense, maybe explain a few college life lessons, and express that being single in your “semi” mid twenties is ok! (As long as you have a few good friends and a few good drinks to lean on)
