I have a feeling this weekend is going to rock my socks :)

1. I've been eating grits all week, and they have been amazing. Plus, i realized this morning, it was a pack of 12 - not 6!!

2. I got to wear my sunglasses this afternoon! YAY!

3. My purse came in! It's beautiful and I am using it for the first time tonight!

Thirsty Thursday

Besides my mom reading religiously (thanks mom), I’m not quite sure who else I should credit the page views to…

1. This was after our dance party on NYE. I feel extremely blessed to call these people my friends. One of which is Erin, check out her blog. 

2. My initial necklace came in! My sister, of course, gave me this fab gift - and I've worn it everyday since :)

4. I broke down and bought this baby last night. Isn't she beautiful?! I did standard shipping because it was free, but I am beginning to regret it. I WANT IT NOW!

5. The only thing that makes the holidays being over ok, is  Mardi Gras. As if any of us need a season to get wasted, naked, and have parades. But God Bless us, a season it is, and the season is here!

So, if you don't mind me saying:

Happy New Year!

So undoubtedly, the most depressing thing about a new year is saying goodbye to the holidays. Taking down decorations is as upsetting as realizing you only have time for one drink during happy hour.

I have been totally vacant from the blog world since before Christmas. Not intentionally, of course, but I’ve been participating in the following:

I hope everyone’s Christmas was as wonderful as mine.

As for New Year’s Eve…

I have gotten to the point where I believe know, NYE is overrated. You talk it up so much, it just ends up to be a let down, and your stuck kissing the rim of your glass rather than the tall, dark, and handsome you’ve been eying stalking all night.

This night turned out no different, but instead of talking it up so much – I decided to go with the flow. Thus, when downtown resulted in the ghost town you are only prepared to see at Clay Aiken concerts, I wasn’t completely discouraged. It turned into a giant dance party, that in reality could have been held in our hotel room for much cheaper than the $300 dollar bar tab I closed out at, but none the less, dance we did. 

Danced our asses right into the New Year.

Now it’s back to pretending my resolutions are possible, and that twenty13 is, in fact, MY year…

HOORAY! It's finally Friday!! Did anyone else's week seem like it was NEVER going to end!! 

So happy I am off the next 5 days! Can't wait to spend some serious family/friend time! Linking up with Lauren for my top 5 this week!

1. My sister sent me this me this video. How freaking precious is she!?! And don't you love that cute little Mississippi twang! 

2. Saw this on Pinterest, and it pretty much explains every new post I see on Facebook...and then me...

3. I watched this last night, I could watch it over and over and over again! It is HILARIOUS!! Perfect stocking stuffer if you are looking for last minute ideas!

4. My mom started making her famous sausage bread this past weekend. This shit is the cat's pajamas. If you like to bake, cook, eat, whatever! You should hit me up for this recipe!

5. MY BESTIE IS COMING HOME TODAYYYY!!! She was swept off her feet by some foreigner and they moved to London, but they are back tonight! **Dearest liver, I am sorry for the booze I am about to put you through!

I'm back for #H54F, since I have been on my hiatus. Linking up with Lauren.

1. FINISHED my Christmas shopping last night! Just waiting on a few things to come in via mail, and I am good to go!

2. Signed up for my first 5k this weekend. I'm super excited!

3. He is a child, and I'm ok with it!

4. Santa has lost his battle with my sister's kids!

5. I can't get enough of the elf on the shelf pictures on facebook, twitter, TV. I am super jealous this wasn't around when I was a kid!

Oops.. I Did it Again

So remember that whole spiel I wrote like over a week and a half ago about my procrastination issue? (feel free to take the time now to scroll back through your emails to see when my last update was…) 

Anyway, lets just say I purposely didn’t write just so that post would be more relevant. We all know this isn’t true.

Truth is, I’ve just been super busy. What with work, and Christmas shopping, and my friends forcing me to go downtown and practically pouring liquor down my throat, I haven’t had time to read an email.

Ok that’s not true either since online shopping has been my priority, for weeks now all I do is refresh my inbox to see if an item has shipped!

Tonight though, I am on a mission to finish what I have started.

I have made like 37 lists, all of which get tossed in the trash or scribbled over, or lost, and I have to start a new one.

I am seriously stumped on what to get my stepdad. I mean he is the type that loves a knick-knack, crazy stuff that if he wants it, he buys it. (It’s true O)

So, the only ideas you are left with are a sleeveless Harley Davidson tee, or a tervis tumbler.

Basically, if you have any ideas for a horse loving, motorcycle riding, cool as the other side of the pillow, stepdad don’t be shy to send some ideas my way!

Other than that, Fritz and I will be done!

Besides the fact that I have bought NOTHING for Fritz, but as he was removing all the stuffing from Bruno, his bull, the other night, I began to wonder why even get him toys at all.

Then I remembered because he would probably begin to remove the stuffing from the couch. Scratch that, Mallory’s couch…
