Trick-or-Treat!

It’s true what they say: ”The older you get the faster time flies”
How is it practically November??
I feel like I just celebrated my birthday… which was in July

This past weekend was so much fun! I got to spend Saturday with my niece, Caroline. I took her to the book fair, which turned out to be pretty fun. Check it out..

she wouldn't take a picture with "ookie monstr" alone..

she made "Bear" take one with Clifford. This was HYSTERICAL
This guy is just too precious not to show....

That night was Halloween downtown. I really hate Halloween, I don’t like to dress up, and I don’t like scary movies – except Hocus Pocus. Which I’d like to take the time to say ABC Family’s 13 nights of Halloween should really be called 13 Nights of Hocus Pocus, I’m not complaining, but seriously...
Anyway, back to the point, this Halloween was a blast!

side note: Dirty Twister won 3rd place! So proud to call him my friend haha!
Happy Trick-or-Treating tomorrow!
Hope it’s more Treats than Tricks

Welcome, Friday!

1. I made my first ever roast this week! It was NOT good, but this a picture of my roux. It started out ok, but I overcooked it and I didn’t make enough gravy.
2. So, our tech room at work was a NIGHTMARE! I decided to spend my day cleaning out 10 years of accumulated paper, trash, and frito’s. Yes, that’s right a frito from probably 2008 was under a desk. VOMIT.
3. This weekend, my favorite little tykes are coming to visit! SO excited.
4. I started my Friday off with a Venti. Very much needed.
5. This sheriff is in character, searching for the bad guys here…

Holy Productive Sunday!

I haven’t had such a successful Sunday in forever…

Friday, I decided to catch up on my DVR. What was life like before these? This reminds me I need to watch Heart of Dixie. Anyway Friday, I snuggled up with my remote and fritz to watch Grey’s, The Vampire Diaries, and Jersey Shore. I know I have a disgustingly large TV load. You don’t have to judge me, I already judge myself. If it is any consolation, I am a reader…

Saturday I watched, napped, during the LSU game – then spent the afternoon with my grandparents. This was overdue.

But TODAY! I don’t know what came over me… I woke up and went to church. My church attendance has been a little non-existent lately, which is not good, I’m working on that. After church malpal and me went off on a shopping spree. Except I didn’t really spree, I looked at, picked up, thought about, and didn’t buy. And now, I'm having remorse for what I left on the shelf. I did buy a new outfit, and a necklace, and a super cute new coffee cup!
I feel like this is going to put a good spin on my week. Good karma, if you will. I’m a firm believer…

BEEP! BEEP! Have a good week!

German Sheriff Pointer

There’s a Snake in My Boot….

what.a.stud.

Wednesdays are becoming my Mondays, apparently. This weekend was S U C C E S S F U L.. Seriously, as successful as one birthday can get. Everyone was in full party mode. Or maybe my beer Vodka goggles were on too tight, because it was fun! I pretty sure calling the dinosaurs in your bff’s backseat is a definition for job well done. And it wasn’t even my birthday! Oh well, this was the first birthday for my group of friends that we really partied for, so I feel like it was all of ours, rolled into the one night. Sunday was spent sleeping, because – seriously – that’s all I could do.

At target I stumbled across this outfit for Fritz to wear for (anytime I’m feeling blue) Halloween. He really didn’t mind the vest, the hat either, once I gave him his handcuffs. I’m pretty sure this picture is the cats meow for any of you reading this.
Tonight is our October Game Night. YAHOOOOOO! Can’t wait to spark fuse with my girl fran’s; plus, it’s Erin’s real birthday, so maybe we’ll spark some candles….
Actually, I don’t know if we are doing that…

Anyways – good day to you deputy

T.G.I.F.

1. I got some new make up, and I’m really excited to use it this weekend. I finally got some stuff to highlight under my eyes. Don’t ask me really what time means, I just know what it is from my good pal, Mal.
2. Wednesday, October 10th was my first full year at work! I cant believe I have been there for a year already! Time is flying by getting old. Damn.
3. 17 miles to E. STORY-OF-MY-LIFE! I hate to pump gas. So much so, this dropped to 7 miles to E, before I filled up.
4. Erin’s birthday festivities start tonight! Can’t wait for dinner at Kabuki! Yayy! Let the {{shit-show} festivities begin!
5. Just a preview of our Fritz sleeps…. In my spot… from one side of the bed to the other…

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

I'm Going Cornatose...

I.CANT.STOP.EATING.CANDY.CORN.
Seriously.

How in the eff is it already Wednesday??!
I was going to blog Sunday night about how amazingly relaxing and not at all exciting my weekend was, but I didn’t. I hate Sunday’s. I hate them so much. Who likes a day that you have to get all your shit together for a whole other week? I’d rather Monday morning, than Sunday evening. I get the Sunday’s Blues like it’s nobodies business. Yeh, I’ve participated in the Sunday Funday action, and yeh, there is good TV; but, in reality, it’s the day you have to go home, or the day your vacation ends, or the day before some awful week may or may not prevail.
I stayed at my moms all weekend. I hate leaving her house, even on a weeknight. I wish she lived closer. Here is where she is thinking, Why don’t you live closer? Well mom, you live in B F E. By the time I got up and ready for work I’d be an hour late. This isn’t high school where I can sleep in my uniform, get up, brush my teeth, wash my face, and hit the road, Jack!
Enter high school nostalgia here

Monday and Tuesday just flew by. I guess cause I was busy those days, or maybe it’s because I have been in a candy corn coma since Sunday, and I'm just now realizing my sugar high.

Erin got Fritz this sweet toy for Halloween.
He ripped its face apart last night. But look at this picture, how can you say no to him?!?
Now we are half way to the weekend, and I'm trying to prepare my liver. Erin’s birthday celebration is this weekend, and I have a feeling candy corn is not going to be my biggest problem.
Vomiting. Partying is.

Sweet Baby Jesus, It's FRIDAY!

Can I get an Amen?
Has anyone else’s week been as terrible as mine?? I have a few perks here and there, but work wise this week has been HORRIBLE. Probably the worst one I’ve ever had while working here, which is depressing, because I really like my job.
Ok, I'm done with my bitch session. Check out my top 5 moments of the week, I'm linking up with Lauren.
1. Sunday, me and my friends went to the movies, and Erin and I snuck in Starbucks Pumpkin Lattes (my first of the season delish!) BUT, more importantly, we went and saw Pitch Perfect. You should probably just stop reading this post, grab a group of gals, and go see this, IMMEDIATELY. I T  I S   H Y ST E R I C A L. Like, I was I literally knee slapping, I was laughing so hard. Rebel Wilson is one of the funniest people on the big screen right now.
2. Monday, Dani and me went to the neighborhood Walmart, I always forget it is right next to my apartment, and probably for good reason. (I didn’t like it), but they had this adorable pumpkin made out of Fanta and Coke Zero and Sprite’s and I had to take a pic!
3. I woke up the next morning to my car having been ransacked. The bastard took my emergency 10 dollars! What a wanker. That was about as cool as Nick Saban <-douche
4. Wednesday, Erin and I took a walk around the lakes. She snapped this pretty pic. I am beginning to have a thing for nature. It was nice to catch up with Erin, I felt like I hadn’t seen her in ages, damn nurses.
5. This was my favorite of the week; the nice guy at the Thai restaurant gave me some trainer chopstick thingy, because I am less than pro when it comes to chopsticks. I swear that’s why Chinese people are so thin. I mean who can eat rice with a stick??

Hope everyone has a FAB weekend! I am going to learn how to cook a ham :) well, my mom never answer my text, but she is going to teach me whether she wants to or not....

Check Yourself, Before You Wreck Yourself (or your car)...

Bags? Check. Fritz? Check. Phone charger? Check. Air in tires? Uhhhhh……

So, this weekend started out fab. I left work early Friday. Fritz and I were on the way to Vicksburg by 4:00, with the exception of a small wreck, we made great time.
Saturday, all of us went on a walk through the Civil War Military Park. We took the long way, and it’s about 4 miles. Fritz was totally worn out, and the babies loved the fresh air.
PLUS, check out this beautiful view…
My sister made my FAVORITE meal ever, roast and rice and gravy. No one can make it like my grandma could, but this was pretty damn close and I think the picture does it serious, SERIOUS justice…
My mom, sister, and I got to catch up on good gossip – plus, we got to decorate my sister’s living room with her new furniture and rug. Well, I walked through the door, my mom pointed me in the direction of the couch and we moved while she directed. But anyway, you get the picture.
As for Sunday, my mom and I left about 11:30. I’d say at 11:35:12 my car dings, LOW TIRE PRESSURE.
SON OF A BITCH!
I call my mom, (let me insert here, my stepdad owns a tire company, let me also mention, neither me or my mom know how to put air in a tire), she tells me to call Oscar to see what to do. Of course, he says to pull over and put in air in {DUH}. Well, remember how I said the south was NOT going to be dry this weekend, it wasn’t. Here we are out in the steady rain, learning how to put air in a tire. Needless to say, when we FINALLY got home we were given our own private, tire changing, air filling, play-by-play lesson.

Pretty much, moral of the story, take full advantage of what your parents do for a living.
HAPPY OCTOBER!
