T.G.I.F.

Happy Friday Bitches!
I have a feeling this weekend is going to rock my socks :)
Linking up Lauren for my top 5.

1. I've been eating grits all week, and they have been amazing. Plus, i realized this morning, it was a pack of 12 - not 6!!
2. I got to wear my sunglasses this afternoon! YAY!
3. My purse came in! It's beautiful and I am using it for the first time tonight!
4. Just for good measure, a pic of Fritz, this is him and his version of duck hunting :)
5. My #tbt pic. My friends and me in New York senior year. Pretty much one of my favorite pictures of ALL TIME!

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

Thirsty Thursday

I better hurry up and post before south Louisiana just drowns right off the map…

Not only is all the rain bringing me down, but also so is the amount of followers. I don’t have… What’s a girl got to do to bring on the readers?
Besides my mom reading religiously (thanks mom), I’m not quite sure who else I should credit the page views to…

On the other hand I thought I’d try out “It’s OK Thursday’s”
Its Ok Thursdays
It’s ok…

…that I use hashtags on Facebook

…that I also use hashtags in my everyday text

…to dress sloppy on rainy days

…that my 51 pound dog sleeps under the covers, in between my legs
…to wish Thirsty Thursdays were as big of a priority as they used to be

…that I talk to myself, pretty much, all day long

…that I’m doing this at work, instead of the long list of things I really need to be doing.

…that all I want to do is eat king cake until I throw up…

What are y'all ok with?

Happy New Year!

So undoubtedly, the most depressing thing about a new year is saying goodbye to the holidays. Taking down decorations is as upsetting as realizing you only have time for one drink during happy hour.

I have been totally vacant from the blog world since before Christmas. Not intentionally, of course, but I’ve been participating in the following:

disclaimer: Fritz was really good this year.
I hope everyone’s Christmas was as wonderful as mine.

As for New Year’s Eve…
I have gotten to the point where I believe know, NYE is overrated. You talk it up so much, it just ends up to be a let down, and your stuck kissing the rim of your glass rather than the tall, dark, and handsome you’ve been eying stalking all night.
This night turned out no different, but instead of talking it up so much – I decided to go with the flow. Thus, when downtown resulted in the ghost town you are only prepared to see at Clay Aiken concerts, I wasn’t completely discouraged. It turned into a giant dance party, that in reality could have been held in our hotel room for much cheaper than the $300 dollar bar tab I closed out at, but none the less, dance we did.
Danced our asses right into the New Year.
Now it’s back to pretending my resolutions are possible, and that twenty13 is, in fact, MY year…

T.G.I.F.

I'm back for #H54F, since I have been on my hiatus. Linking up with Lauren.
1. FINISHED my Christmas shopping last night! Just waiting on a few things to come in via mail, and I am good to go!
2. Signed up for my first 5k this weekend. I'm super excited!
3. He is a child, and I'm ok with it!
4. Santa has lost his battle with my sister's kids!
5. I can't get enough of the elf on the shelf pictures on facebook, twitter, TV. I am super jealous this wasn't around when I was a kid!

Everyone have a fab weekend!!

Oops.. I Did it Again

So remember that whole spiel I wrote like over a week and a half ago about my procrastination issue? (feel free to take the time now to scroll back through your emails to see when my last update was…)
Anyway, lets just say I purposely didn’t write just so that post would be more relevant. We all know this isn’t true.
Truth is, I’ve just been super busy. What with work, and Christmas shopping, and my friends forcing me to go downtown and practically pouring liquor down my throat, I haven’t had time to read an email.
Ok that’s not true either since online shopping has been my priority, for weeks now all I do is refresh my inbox to see if an item has shipped!
Tonight though, I am on a mission to finish what I have started.
I have made like 37 lists, all of which get tossed in the trash or scribbled over, or lost, and I have to start a new one.
I am seriously stumped on what to get my stepdad. I mean he is the type that loves a knick-knack, crazy stuff that if he wants it, he buys it. (It’s true O)
So, the only ideas you are left with are a sleeveless Harley Davidson tee, or a tervis tumbler.
Basically, if you have any ideas for a horse loving, motorcycle riding, cool as the other side of the pillow, stepdad don’t be shy to send some ideas my way!
Other than that, Fritz and I will be done!
Besides the fact that I have bought NOTHING for Fritz, but as he was removing all the stuffing from Bruno, his bull, the other night, I began to wonder why even get him toys at all.
Then I remembered because he would probably begin to remove the stuffing from the couch. Scratch that, Mallory’s couch…

Procrastinators Unite...Tomorrow

I’m not really sure where I get my procrastination habits. I’ve been this way since high school, putting papers, and homework, and studying off until the last nanosecond. So much so, if I had a test 8th period I would just study during all of my classes that day.  It’s a terrible habit, but hey, I’ll work on it…tomorrow.
I wanted to make a post on Thanksgiving for all the things I'm thankful for, but some how it ended up the Tuesday after turkey day and I didn’t have it done…
So here is an edited list of my top fave's
I’m thankful for my friends, without them life would suck.

I’m thankful for my family, mostly for dealing with me.

Im thankful for this picture of Kris Jenner.
I’m thankful for F R I E N D S. without the 6 of them, my life would not be as sarcastic as Chandler, as clean as Monica, as fashionable as Rachel, as witty as Ross, as naïve as Joey, and as hysterically weird as Phoebe. (‘ello there mate!)
and of course I’m thankful for Fritz, he’s a girl's best friend, and my child on four legs.
Now, it’s practically December. Seriously where did the year go? I feel like I was just buying party hats for Fritz’s first birthday. The whole, “time flies when you get older,” is no joke. At this rate, I need to mentally begin preparing for my 25th birthday. FAUCK!

On the plus side I have a head start on my Christmas shopping…
On the ridiculous side, every time I buy something for someone else, I buy myself something too…

Welcome, Friday!

1. I made my first ever roast this week! It was NOT good, but this a picture of my roux. It started out ok, but I overcooked it and I didn’t make enough gravy.
2. So, our tech room at work was a NIGHTMARE! I decided to spend my day cleaning out 10 years of accumulated paper, trash, and frito’s. Yes, that’s right a frito from probably 2008 was under a desk. VOMIT.
3. This weekend, my favorite little tykes are coming to visit! SO excited.
4. I started my Friday off with a Venti. Very much needed.
5. This sheriff is in character, searching for the bad guys here…

Holy Productive Sunday!

I haven’t had such a successful Sunday in forever…

Friday, I decided to catch up on my DVR. What was life like before these? This reminds me I need to watch Heart of Dixie. Anyway Friday, I snuggled up with my remote and fritz to watch Grey’s, The Vampire Diaries, and Jersey Shore. I know I have a disgustingly large TV load. You don’t have to judge me, I already judge myself. If it is any consolation, I am a reader…

Saturday I watched, napped, during the LSU game – then spent the afternoon with my grandparents. This was overdue.

But TODAY! I don’t know what came over me… I woke up and went to church. My church attendance has been a little non-existent lately, which is not good, I’m working on that. After church malpal and me went off on a shopping spree. Except I didn’t really spree, I looked at, picked up, thought about, and didn’t buy. And now, I'm having remorse for what I left on the shelf. I did buy a new outfit, and a necklace, and a super cute new coffee cup!
I feel like this is going to put a good spin on my week. Good karma, if you will. I’m a firm believer…

BEEP! BEEP! Have a good week!

German Sheriff Pointer

There’s a Snake in My Boot….

what.a.stud.

Wednesdays are becoming my Mondays, apparently. This weekend was S U C C E S S F U L.. Seriously, as successful as one birthday can get. Everyone was in full party mode. Or maybe my beer Vodka goggles were on too tight, because it was fun! I pretty sure calling the dinosaurs in your bff’s backseat is a definition for job well done. And it wasn’t even my birthday! Oh well, this was the first birthday for my group of friends that we really partied for, so I feel like it was all of ours, rolled into the one night. Sunday was spent sleeping, because – seriously – that’s all I could do.

At target I stumbled across this outfit for Fritz to wear for (anytime I’m feeling blue) Halloween. He really didn’t mind the vest, the hat either, once I gave him his handcuffs. I’m pretty sure this picture is the cats meow for any of you reading this.
Tonight is our October Game Night. YAHOOOOOO! Can’t wait to spark fuse with my girl fran’s; plus, it’s Erin’s real birthday, so maybe we’ll spark some candles….
Actually, I don’t know if we are doing that…

Anyways – good day to you deputy

I'm Going Cornatose...

I.CANT.STOP.EATING.CANDY.CORN.
Seriously.

How in the eff is it already Wednesday??!
I was going to blog Sunday night about how amazingly relaxing and not at all exciting my weekend was, but I didn’t. I hate Sunday’s. I hate them so much. Who likes a day that you have to get all your shit together for a whole other week? I’d rather Monday morning, than Sunday evening. I get the Sunday’s Blues like it’s nobodies business. Yeh, I’ve participated in the Sunday Funday action, and yeh, there is good TV; but, in reality, it’s the day you have to go home, or the day your vacation ends, or the day before some awful week may or may not prevail.
I stayed at my moms all weekend. I hate leaving her house, even on a weeknight. I wish she lived closer. Here is where she is thinking, Why don’t you live closer? Well mom, you live in B F E. By the time I got up and ready for work I’d be an hour late. This isn’t high school where I can sleep in my uniform, get up, brush my teeth, wash my face, and hit the road, Jack!
Enter high school nostalgia here

Monday and Tuesday just flew by. I guess cause I was busy those days, or maybe it’s because I have been in a candy corn coma since Sunday, and I'm just now realizing my sugar high.

Erin got Fritz this sweet toy for Halloween.
He ripped its face apart last night. But look at this picture, how can you say no to him?!?
Now we are half way to the weekend, and I'm trying to prepare my liver. Erin’s birthday celebration is this weekend, and I have a feeling candy corn is not going to be my biggest problem.
Vomiting. Partying is.

T.G.I.F

Happy Friday y'all! If your work week was anything like mine, then today is a miracle it even arrived!

I'm linking up with Lauren again today, for my #H54F
1. I saw this AMAZING sunset; me and the rooms went for a walk around the lakes again and we got to witness this. (P.S Loved all the extra time I got to spend with her while her boy toy was gone!)
2. Tuesday, I left my purse AT WORK! Who does that?? I must have been itching to get out of there REALLL bad!
3. Fritz, just because this pic is adorbs, also cause it’s nice when he’s not jumping all over the place
4. Last night I ate Zoes Kitchen. This Greek salad is awesome, if you haven’t been there. GO NOW, you can thank me later...
5. After work today, me and Fritz-ter are off to Vicksburg for a weekend with my sister, mom, and the babies! Can’t wait to spend some time just the three of us, well five of us, but you knoww….

Hope everyone’s week is dryer than the souths is planned to be….

Bourbon, on the Rocks...

What is it about Bourbon Street that makes you think you’re invincible?  I don’t know the answer either, but let me know if you come up with a good one….

Just for a quick Friday recap; the only remotely exciting thing that happen was Mal forced me to run to one of our fav boutiques, where I ended up spending A LOT of money. She’ll be sorry when it’s time for the rent check….

This brings me to Saturday. I'm not kidding when I say ANY opportunity Ole Miss students are given to go to New Orleans; they go. Whether it be a football game, a formal, Mardi Gras… I'm not really sure why they just don’t just make Mardi Gras a holiday. There are more students in class during Winter Intersession than there is during Mardi Gras week…  As for formal, Memphis is a mere 50 minutes away from Oxford, but who wants to go a calm ferry boat ride, when you can get wasted and naked at no cost in the NOLA baby?

I'm telling you New Orleans makes you do crazy things; good girls go bad, shy girls go crazy, and frat boys, well they remain frat boys. If you haven’t made the trip {you're crazy}, you must put it on your bucket list. Even if its just a random weekend, not Mardi Gras , or Jazz Fest, etc., there is always a crazy drunk yelling at some hippies on the corner that he is going to “beat their ass for being so lazy.”

Sunday lead to a LONNGGGG ride back to Baton Rouge, it definitely seemed longer than an hour to get home.{an eternity}. I ate some grease, and then took a two hour nap, before I had to pick up Fritz. Then, I found myself as Dick’s for looking for some new Nikes. I got these bad boys for 40 dollars cheaper, because they are youth size. Can’t say I'm complaining for having small feet…

Linking up with Leeann, Dana, and Sami

Hope everyone has a fabulous week!

Fritz may have been replaced :) Only in the NOLA

Friday Letters

Changing it up a little this week. Linking with Ashley, from Adventures of Newlyweds, for Friday Letters!

Dear Kabuki. You are amazing. I wish you were differently located so other people could know your amazingness. Don’t worry I am working on spreading the word. Dear Dani and Mal, thank you for walking the LSU lakes with Fritz and me on Tuesday. We thoroughly enjoy the scenery, and its even better to enjoy with someone who can talk back to me. I hope we can do it more often.  Dear Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes, get your shit together. No one, seriously, NO ONE gets in that many wrecks in that amount of time. Everyone is past the point of you knowing you need attention. I mean, Amanda, no one had seen or heard from you since What I Like About You; I’m beginning to believe you were jealous of all the attention Jenny Garth has been getting. If y’all need attention why not try the, shaving your head, ramming cars with umbrellas, Britney Spears way.  Dear Hilary Duff, thank you for beating the Disney/Nickelodeon curse. Dear Bulldog, thank you for becoming my new hangout with Fritz. Dear Sonic, screw you for being next to the Bulldog, but thank you for giving me the wrong order – because it was disgusting and kept me from eating unnecessary calories. Dear Sister, Thank you for my Birchbox subscription – seriously best present ever award goes to you.  Dear New Orleans, please take it easy on me this weekend, I am preparing myself to bring my A game, which could be dangerous for all involved…

It's Friday, Bitches

Happy #H54F!! Linking up with Lauren again. Also, fare warning, Mal and I will share a few of the same favorites this week. Cant help that I live with my best frannn..
1. Game Night was the bomb. I know I had an entire post dedicated to it, but really, what’s better than a bunch of your besties all together drinking wine and chatting about how stupid and naïve we used to be!
2. Had a Mexican Fiesta Tuesday with a bunch of the same girls, but also with a couple friends I hadn’t seen in a while.  It’s always nice to catch up with old girlfriends.
3. I knew I was destined to get sick eventually, and I was right, because I’m pretty sure I thought I was dying Wednesday and Thursday. The good thing was I got to stay home and have Fritz take care of me.
4. The Vampire Diaries is up on Netflix. NO ONE can tell me Ian Somerholder isn’t sexy. He’s my pick to play Christian Grey…
5. I got told how well I was doing at work. Its always nice to get a pat on the back sometimes…
Hope everyone’s weekend is balls to the wall!
